Auto-Mode

Auto-Mode lets your character hunt and gather on its own while you take a break. It plays the way a careful player would — heals when it should, avoids bad fights and keeps its distance if you play a ranged class — and you can grab the controls back at any moment.

Turning it on

Press the Auto button (the play icon) in the HUD action cluster. The first time you use it, the settings window opens instead of starting, so you can pick your options. After that, one click starts it and the same click stops it.

  • The small chevron badge on the button's top-right corner, or a right-click on the button, opens the settings window any time.
  • While it runs, the button glows and a small status chip above it tells you what your character is up to: hunting, kiting, healing, gathering, exploring, or paused because you are in control.
  • There is no default key. If you want one, bind it in Settings → Keyboard.

Settings

Setting What it does
Heal below When your HP falls under this percentage, Auto-Mode drinks a health potion or uses a heal skill you picked. Starts at 50 %
Restore mana below When your MP falls under this percentage, it drinks a mana potion. Starts at 30 %
Skills (up to 4) The skills it is allowed to cast. They must be on your hotbar
Gather resources On (the default): it also mines, chops and picks resource nodes. Off: it only fights

The two sliders go from 10 % to 90 %. Press Save to keep your changes, and use Start or Stop in the same window to turn Auto-Mode on or off.

Your skills have to sit on your hotbar. If a skill you picked is greyed out in the window, it is no longer on the bar — put it back on the hotbar and Auto-Mode will use it again. Settings are saved per character.

What it does

  • Stays on the current map. It never takes a portal on its own.
  • Fights first, gathers second. It clears the monsters nearby, and only goes for resource nodes once the area is clear.
  • Ranged classes kite. They step back and shoot instead of trading blows.
  • Melee classes stay careful. They avoid pulling a whole pack and back off when they are getting surrounded.
  • Picks its fights. It leaves alone monsters another player is already fighting, bosses and MVPs, and monsters far above your level.
  • Has a built-in safety floor. Whatever your Heal below slider says, while a monster is on you it heals when your HP drops under 30 %, and between fights it tops you up (a potion, or a short rest) when you are under 50 % before it explores or picks the next fight. It also heals early when the hits it sees would kill you within a couple of seconds. A lower slider does not switch this off.
  • Explores. When nothing is in sight, it wanders the map looking for monsters and nodes.
  • Keeps going when supplies run out. No potions? It keeps fighting. Bag full? It keeps fighting and monster loot still lands (your bag goes over capacity), but it only gathers resources that stack onto what you already carry.

Monsters now chase you for up to 40 tiles from where the fight started before they give up and walk home, fully healed. Bosses and dungeon monsters chase for 20 tiles, and castle defenders for 15. That is plenty of room to kite.

Stepping in

You are always in charge. Any move, attack, skill, item, gather or NPC talk you do yourself pauses Auto-Mode for about 3 seconds, then it picks up where it left off.

  • If you attack a monster yourself, Auto-Mode goes after that one next.
  • While you are in control your own heal and mana sliders still apply: it drinks a potion when your HP drops below your Heal below threshold, and a mana potion when your MP drops below your mana threshold. Emergency heals in a fight (under 30 %, or when a burst of damage would kill you) still apply too. It never moves your character on its own, and the between-fights top-up at 50 % waits until you hand control back.

When it stops

Auto-Mode turns itself off, and tells you why, when:

  • you die;
  • you leave the map — a portal, a teleport, or entering or leaving a dungeon;
  • you disconnect;
  • you turn it off yourself;
  • the realm switches the feature off;
  • a castle siege is on that map.

Your settings are kept. After you log back in it always starts off, with the same settings waiting for you.
